Farm Rich Snack Review & Giveaway

As a Working mom my kids spend a long day at school and when I get them home they are ravenous.  I can call myself Rachel Ray as I always cook my weekday meals within 30 minutes otherwise I have two kids chomping at my legs.  Now that my son is in elementary school after school activities such as soccer practice and nightly homework is starting to eat into my cooking time and most importantly family time.  So finding nutritious quick meals for my children is very important.

First lady Michelle Obama frequently acknowledges the pressures facing families today as part of her platform to bring awareness to children’s health, nutrition and fitness.  "We are living in a time where we just don't have enough time. People are rushed. They're overworked, overscheduled...But the thing that I want people to understand in this campaign is that families can make small, manageable changes in their lives that can have pretty significant impacts," said Mrs. Obama during the “Let's Move” live web chat.  

This web chat was pretty interesting and one comment was you don't have to cook every day of the week.  I currently try to cook from scratch every day but once in a while I give it a rest and throw some food in the oven.  However, I'm not a huge fan of processed foods.  Farm Rich offers a great compromise on providing a portfolio of frozen snack and appetizer products sold at grocery and club stores nationwide that can act as a mini meal replacement before heading out to after school activities or maybe just hold your kids over till dinner is ready.

We tried the cheese sticks as these are my son's favorite appetizer while eating out. These were a thumbs up with the kids and for me the 10-15 minute cooking time is perfect.  It had the right amount of crunch and cheese gooeyness.  I liked that it was made with 100% real mozarella cheese and offers a good source of calcium and protein for my growing children.
