As a working mom my time at home during the evenings during the week is short. So when I get home, I head to the kitchen to make a home cooked meal. When my children were toddlers it was tough getting this task done as my children wanted me to play with them or hold them. So I went about setting up their own little kitchen in my kitchen. I purchased kitchen sets and placed it in the corner of my kitchen away from the stove top. They loved it and would make their own dinners and it gave me just enough time to get dinner cooked in peace before hubby would get home from work - win win for all. The kids kitchen has since moved to the basement. We've added a fridge, kitchen table and numerous kitchen utensils and accesories over the years. Whenever we have playdates the kitchen is the area that gets hit the hardest.
Step2 My Own laundry adds nicely to my kids kitchen area. It comes with everything a child needs to get their make believe laundry done including a washer, iron, spray bottle, hangers, towels, soap boxes and more. While many toys require scissors, pliers and screwdriver before it can be played with, the super easy assembly is a bonus for parents. The lights, sounds and clicking knob kept my two busy for a while enabling me to make dinner!
It is much smaller than other sets so it won't take up too much space, but it still offers exciting and interactive game play for toddlers and children alike. They certainly will love to hear the realistic sound of water running and clothes tumbling. It even comes with batteries already installed. For only $29.99, its a great price for the holiday season.
We love that its a portable playset. We normally pack like we are headed for a year's trip so why not pack the Step2 My Own Laundry too.

ReplyDeleteI've always really liked the Art Easel (free standing one) it looks like so much fun, and the preschool my daughter attends has one similar (not as good, quality-wise though) and that's the first thing she runs to when she's dropped off!
