Novica Mother's Day Gift Review and $40 Gift Code #Giveaway

Mother's Day has crept up quick on us this year!  I hope you all have a great Mother's Day and have fun with your family this Mother's Day.

This year my husband has booked a brunch with the family at a local restaurant.  Breakfast is one of the meals I love best because hubby is the breakfast maker at the weekend.  I get to relax with the kids while hubby makes breakfast.  So I'm pretty excited about brunch this Mother's day because we all get to relax and enjoy some yummy food together.

What did you get your Mom this year? if you haven't found what you are looking for then check out Novica. Novica is a site that I often turn to.  Novica's Mission page states "Novica is Different".  This is certainly true.  While looking elsewhere online there are so many stores that offer the same thing.  Novica is unique that it offers artists and artisans around the world a global platform to express their true artistic talents and to spur their creativity, so the gifts that you choose from Novica for you and your loved ones will truly set your gift apart from others and leave a long lasting impression.

The Gift Finder feature at Novica allows you to narrow your search from their vast inventory.  Of course I went straight to "Gifts for Her" option.  Then I narrowed it down to the "Gifts by price" option because price can often be a deal breaker for me.  I opted for the "Gifts under $50" which allows me to buy a few items.

This beaded Batik tote bag is only $47.99 and $2.99 shipping.  The fine beaded detail would surely make your gift recipient think you spent way more than $47.99.  Plus the artisan story which is included with the purchase adds that extra special touch. Head to Novica and you'll be amazed by the selection and I'm sure you'll be adding a few things for yourself to the cart.  Go ahead you deserve it.

Thanks to Novica, we can offer one lucky reader a $40 Novica Gift code.  Simply enter to win through the rafflectoper form below.  The contest ends May 24th, 2013.  Good luck.

Disclosure: We received the opportunity to receive and provide a giftcard for giveaway courtesy of Novica in exchange for our honest review.  All opinions are of our own, others may vary.

Mombo Nursing Pillow Review

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Comfort and Harmony for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I'm a Mother of two children, ages 8 and 6. When I was an expecting my firstborn a friend of mine kindly took me to BabiesRUS and gave me the lowdown on what to put on my baby registry and what not to put on my baby registry.  I pay it forward now to all my expecting friends with a "tell it like it is" trip to BabiesRUS.

One of the must have items on my baby registry list was a breastfeeding pillow.  I was lucky to be able to breastfeed my babies past the 6 month stage and the breastfeeding pillow was one of my best friends during those months and especially in the middle of night when there is not a sound in the world except your precious little one snuggled closely.  A breastfeeding pillow allows a firm surface to lay your baby on while feeding.  It is a back saver for you but not too soft that baby sinks into the pillow.  I also brought another baby pillow (infant positioner) to prop up the baby as the breastfeeding pillow was a little too hard for casual lounging.  After having the second baby 21 months later, I realized that there were a lot of baby things that I didn't need or didn't have room for as toddler toys for baby # 1 started to fill the house.  But I needed both the nursing pillow and the infant positioner pillow.

The Mombo nursing pillows seems to have the best of both worlds for Moms and babies alike.  It is a nursing pillow with 2 sides; 1 side is firm for feeding and the other side is soft for lounging.  The Mombo pillow would most definetely save you money instead of buying two pillows and also a space saver as it is 2 pillows in 1.  Just becuse you will be saving money doesn't mean you will skimp on quality for your precious bundle of joy.  The Mombo pillow is made to a high quality and the pillow just feels right for nursing and lounging.  Where was the Mombo when I was nursing?

The washable slipcovers which are sold separately are so cute, especially the deluxe versions which come in modern patterns on one side and premium plush fabric on the other.  Now why don't they make adult bedding just like that?

There is one more feature that will definetely have you running to the store for a Mombo pillow.  The Mombo pillow comes with a removable vibration unit.  My babies loved their vibrating packnplay and baby bouncer, the reason is because the vibration reminds them of being in the womb.  A happy baby equals a happy mom.

My friend is expecting her baby in a few months so the Mombo pillow will be wrapped up nicely all ready for her baby shower.  You'll find the Mombo pillows at BabiesRUS - be sure to check out all the cute slipcover designs.  Isn't this Deluxe Butterfly Whispers cover just darling and for all you mom's out there the taggies cover is ingenious!  My babies loved their taggies blanket!

    Join the Gala Bingo Buzz

If you grew up in England as a kid and spent the summers down at the shore with grandma you would sure know what the following words meant: legs eleven, unlucky for some, cup of tea and knock at the door.

These are bingo lingo for the numbers - all fun cockney rhyming slang.
    legs eleven = 11
    unlucky for some = 13
    cup of tea = 3
and knock at the door = 4

We spent some time at the Eastern shores of England (Southend) as a kid and would see the bingo halls lined up with people young and old.  It was a great time for all, just wiling away the day with friends playing a spot of bingo.  If you didn't know, Bingo is a game in which players mark off numbers on a card as the numbers are drawn randomly by a caller.  The winner is the first person to mark off all their numbers on their cards and shout out BINGO.

When I found the online bingo site Gala Bingo it brought back memories.  If you sign up and put down £5 you actually get £15 to spend.  There are actually some bingo games that are free to play.  Bingo is a community game so when you get some downtime head on over and make some new friends and maybe it might be your lucky day.  There are some great prizes to be won.

Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop Review & Giveaway

Disclosure: I received a complimentary Rubbermaid product for free in exchange for my honest opinions.  All other opinions may vary.

I'm not a fan of cleaning and as a working Mom I don't really have time for it - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :-).  But it is a necessary evil and someone has to do it otherwise we'd live in a mess.  I like to shop around for ingenious gadgets to make the cleaning chores a little more tolerable.

Rubbermaid has come out with a Reveal Spray Mop that I'm more than glad to share my review with you.  We have hardwood floors in about 75% of our first floor, so I was more than happy to try out their new product because I'm not too happy with the hardwood mop products that I already own.  I have the usual hardwood mop that I have to separately carry my hardwood cleaner, spray and then mop.  I also have the branded mop with cleaner attached but I'm not a big fan of the cleaner smell and the hardwood floor usually feels sticky after use.

The Reveal Spray Mop offers you a thick microfiber pad that is reusable and machine washable (up to 100 times).  The refillable bottle can be filled with hot water and two teaspoons of your favorite solution.  The scrubbing pad offers a non-scratch feature to loosen stubborn spots.  It is safe to use on all floor types including hardwood, vinyl laminate and tile.

I must say I am impressed with the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray mop.  I loved the long handle and the durable construction.  I'm pretty rough on my mops because I'm mopping a large surface area and just want to get done quickly.  The mop was light enough and the pad floated easily over my hardwoods - so there's no complaining to hubby that I would develop carpel tunnel syndrome from too much mopping.  I loved how I could fill the bottle with my own floor cleaner and the spray jet covered a large surface and came out as a fine mist.  This made cleaning so much easier as I'm not using excessive amount of floor cleaner and I can spray and mop quickly covering more floor than with my current mops.

With Earth day coming up the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop is both great for your wallet and the environment!

    BUY IT
The Rubbermaid Clean & Dry Plunger is available at the following stores; Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Meijer and Menards and sells for only $19.99!  Run and grab yours!
While you are surfing online connect with Rubbermaid on Facebook

    (1) Lucky reader will win their own Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop

Save Big with Grocery Coupon Network

My grocery bills racks up easily, especially when I have the kids in tow or I stop at the grocery store on impulse without my coupons.  I try to grocery shop before I pick the kids up from school because the kids love to throw in grocery items while I'm not watching that I have not planned on buying or budgeted for.  Typically, I wait till the weekend because I clip the coupons from the Sunday paper and I can match the coupons with the ads and against my grocery list.  Now I don't have to wait till the weekend because I can print coupons straight from the Grocery Coupon Network website 24/7.

If you are interested in couponing but haven't quite figured it out, head straight to the Get Started - Beginner Couponing link at the Grocery Coupon Network website to learn the coupon basics starting with the lingo and where to begin.  You can also watch the instructional Coupon 101 videos, there are plenty of videos to choose from such as "stacking coupons" to "price checks" and "knowing prices" which should definitely inspire you to save through coupons in one shape or form.  Once you get going you'll be addicted as the savings sure mount up.

As a seasoned couponer, one feature that I like the most is the weekly Store Matchups featuring the following stores:

    • Albertson's, CVS, Kroger, Meijer, Pick 'n' Save, Publix, Rite Aid, Roundy's, Safeway, Target, Walgreens, Walmart and Whole Foods

    .
The hard work has been done as the deals matched up with the coupons are laid out for you!  All you have to do is find the coupon either by clipping from your Sunday paper or printing straight from the website and then head to the store.  You can also check out the grocery store circulars online too.

Couponing doesn't have to begin and end at the grocery store.  You can also find coupons for your online shopping needs and also find local coupons to use in your neighborhood.  Gorcery Coupon Network makes it easy for you to coupon.  No lame excuses needed...
