Let your imagination run with Straws & Connectors - Review & Giveaway

With two young children, I'm always on the lookout for educational toys to help with those rainy weekends.  Even small projects for the weeknight help me as my daughter loves to gravitate towards the TV.  I was given the opportunity to review Straws & Connectors and thought how refreshing to find a fun toy that does not require batteries or complicated parts.  Straws and connectors simply need a little imagination as the concept is pretty simple - you are provided with Straws & Connectors and the idea is to build from them. The straws are flexible and the connectors can join 6 straws.

The instructions provided for the rocket, tent and house were pretty easy to visualize - no text involved and therefore even a Dad could figure it out ; )  My son chose to build the rocket.  I showed my children (ages 4 and 5) how to build the first layer and add on, I left them in the living room to make dinner and by the time dinner was ready the 7 layers of the body was done.  I helped finished off the top part and add the material provided. 

We're excited to dismantle and work on the playhouse next.  We can also build a boat, design a Wigwam, create a raft or construct a fort - the options are endless.  We love toys that can be played with again and again without being tossed aside because of boredom.
