Seneca Oatmeal & Fruit Review

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but busy weekday mornings make it hard for me to find the time to make something that is both nutritious and delicious for the kids.  I typically serve cereal and milk or jelly on toast, but I'm always looking for new healthy alternatives.

Seneca Oatmeal & Fruit which launched on April 4th at Wal-Mart is the perfect choice for anyone who has trouble finding time for breakfast in the morning.  Ready to go nutrition – no water or milk required – just heat for 45 seconds (less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee) and eat!  Seneca's Oatmeal & Fruit cups are made with real fruit and oatmeal is available as two-pack sleeves or convenient single serve cups.

Two initial flavors are being introduced – Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla Peach.  More flavors and retailers will be added in the coming months.  The Apple Cinnamon flavor single cup offers 170 calories and the vanilla peach 180 calories.

We were given samples for review and I personally love the chunky cut and of course real fruit.  The kids enjoyed them too.  I think this would be a good afternoon snack for me at work.  Oatmeal makes for a good hearty filler and will hold me over till dinnertime if I snack on it mid afternoon.
