Masterlock: Advice for students and fellow parents for surviving the school year

My son is heading to 1st grade in the Fall.  This is a brand new school for him and therefore like every Mom I worry whether he will like it, will make new friends and many more silly notions that make us Mom.  One advice that I can think of for students and fellow parents for surviving the school year is to "Stay True to yourself".  Too many students want to follow the "in" crowd or wear clothes like their friends and too many Mom's oblige by buying the latest brand or technology which makes their kids grow up way too fast for their own good.  If you stay true to yourself and always have yourself accountable for your actions you'll both survive the year happy.
