Twin Sisters Kindergarten Workbook and CD Review & $10 Giveaway

I have a 6 year at home who will soon be heading to 1st grade at the end of August (how time flies).  His kindergarten teacher mentioned that I should refresh his skills throughout the summer with reading and writing activities so not to lose what he learnt during the school year.  Of course I'm going to have to make this fun as he has a fun filled summer ahead of him.  I've found that workbooks work well as I can sit down with him and go through what needs to be done.  He finds satisfaction with completing the tasks himself and feels great because he remembers how to do certain tasks.  Win win for everyone.

The companion 48-page full-color workbook includes activities for learning uppercase and lowercase letters, beginning letter sounds, 40 sight words, numbers 1 to 20, counting sets, shapes and patterns, animals and their sounds, when to call 9-1-1, and more!  My son zipped through the book and was eager to do each activity. We enjoyed playing the CD in the car on the way to and from summer camp and its helping my soon to be pre-K daughter with her learning.
