NMEDA Dealers Help the Elderly and Disabled Get back on the road to independence

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

While I am fairly young, I am fortunate and blessed to not be familiar with any disabilities but I'm sure its not easy if you do have a disability.  My mum broke her ankle after slipping black ice and seeing her lose her ability to move freely was hard and I'm sure even harder for her as everyday activities took significantly longer.  There are many resources out there to enable the elderly and disabled get back on the road to independence.

NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealer’s Association) is a non-profit organization which advocates safe driving and equipment for the disabled.  Searching for a wheelchair van, car, truck or other mobility equipment that will fit all of your needs can be a difficult process. While it is easy to purchase your vehicle online, you won't get a personalized 'in-person' evaluation to find a vehicle that suits your individual needs.  It’s easy to find an NMEDA dealer near you–just check here at the NMEDA website. You can search by zip code or by state. Customized vehicles from NMEDA dealers can help the elderly and disabled regain their independence and get back on the road.

Many NMEDA dealers participate in the QAP, or Quality Assurance Program. Because QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry, QAP dealers are held to remarkably high standards in order to insure customer satisfaction.

I went to the NMEDA website and found two dealers that are close to my home.  Leave me a comment and let me know which dealer is closest to you.
