Happy New Year (Chinese New Year)

Today marks the Chinese New Year

Gung Hay Fat Choi
Happy New Year

This year it is The Year of the Dragon which is considered to be very lucky

The Chinese New Year is a holiday that celebrates the beginning of a new year according to the lunar calendar. It is considered to be one of the most important holidays for Chinese families.  The Chinese New Year is celebrated with big family gatherings, gift giving, the eating of symbolic foods and display of festive decorations - all focused on bringing good luck for the new year and celebrating the coming of Spring.
I'll be celebrating with:

A greeting "Gung Hai Fat Choi" to all that I meet, which translates to Happy New Year.

Good Food (Dim Sum)

Handing out Red Envelopes (Lai See) filled with fresh bills to my children and my friends children

Wearing the color red, the color red represents happiness and joy. If you wear red clothes, you bring more happiness and joy to the people around you.
