Clorox® Clean Up® Recipes and Ultimate Mess Party sweepstakes

This winter we've been busy with indoor sport activities at the weekend.  My daughter has been doing gymnastics and my son indoor soccer.  Even though our mornings have been filled with these activities they come home and still have a ton of energy.  Since its cold outside our afternoon activities are limited to the indoors.  Usually, it consists of putting a movie on or the kids play with their toys but often that gets stale and chaos assumes.  So Mom comes to the rescue with other activities such as set up a playdate or cooking which kills two birds with one stone as not only does it stave off boredom but I can get dinner prepared in less time and engage my children.  The kids love cooking with me and sometimes I have to get past the mess and go with the fun.

Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner has launched an exciting Web site where you can find and share recipes for fun activities to do with your kids.  At cloroxrecipesforfun.com, you and your kids can get ideas for science experiments, cooking recipes and arts and crafts projects.  The kiddie cooking tab offers never ending pages of recipes which will keep us busy for many weekends to come!  We flicked through and the bean and cheese rolls and chilli cheese dip sound delicious and ever so easy to make.  The creative cooking tab is a great addition for moms to jazz up weeknight dinners and encourage healthy, nutritional and fun dinners.  We all agreed we'd try the cauliflower crust pizza and pesto oven fried drummies.

This week we've actually switched the TV off so we can focus on family filled entertainment.  The kids were none too pleased but it had to be done as they were getting way too sassy with their attitudes after watching those supposedly kid orientated TV shows.  Tonight was the first night and it actually went very smoothly.  My children are not hurting for toys so we gave them the option to play with items they already had or come up with a new game.  My son and daughter finished putting together the Lego Friends house that we gave my daughter for her 5th birthday.  Then after dinner we put our pjs on and the kids set about making their own board games using only the following items; pen, paper and scissors.  There was quiet for 20 minutes while they compiled their own games and the board games were actually very entertaining and imaginative.  We shall see how tommorow night turns out but if all else fails we can find a recipe for fun in the Wacky Science and Arts and Crafts tabs at cloroxrecipesforfun.com.
