Halloween is a fun time for costume dress up, but the costumes are not wasted as they get used all throughout the year in my household. My children each have a trunk that is filled with their halloween costumes and any time we have a playdate they go through the trunk and I'll find a bunch of princess or superheroes.
We recently held an Alice in Wonderland tea party for my daughter's 5th birthday. I had a fun time decorating that it wouldn't have been right if Alice, The Red Queen and The Mad Hatter were not there to attend the tea party. With a few Alice in Wonderland Costumes, I enrolled my niece as Alice and my hubby willingly became The Mad Hatter. I became the Red Queen.
The Red Queen costume came from Wholesale Halloween Costumes and was true to size. I've always wanted to wear those big period costumes. Women in those days were lucky being able to hide those hips and belly's in that big skirt. There was a slip that helped plump up the skirt and the pouffy shoulderpads gave it a dramatic look. I can't wait to wear this at halloween, I got used to saying "Off with their head".
Our guests loved the characters and even now a month later the kids ask my husband to talk like the Mad Hatter and hear the story when he goes to pick my daughter up from school. What is your next birthday party theme?
