Nutrisystem 10-Day Challenge #NSNation - BMI Application

BMI APPLICATION

I recently joined the 10 day Nutrisystem Blogger program, and was sent frozen food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack time from the Nutrisystem Select option for review.  I recently posted about the breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and for my last piece I'll be focusing on the BMI Application.

When it comes to living healthy, knowing your BMI score is an important step in the right direction.  Your “BMI” is your Body Mass Index – a measure of body weight based on your weight and height. It’s not a measure of your body fat percentage, but it is an indication of how healthy you are compared to the average person. The higher the BMI number, the more you’re at risk for weight related health problems.

I have an iPhone and downloaded the free BMI Nutrisystem App here.  The app is simple to use, just plug in your height, weight and birthdate and it calculates your Body Mass Index in seconds, and uses it to tell you whether you’re underweight, healthy or overweight. It also gives you tips on how to improve and maintain your ideal BMI.

So for me my BMI is above the healthy range and it told me my goal BMI and in order to achieve this I needed to weigh X amount and achieve this loss by reducing my calorie intake by x amount.  You owe it to yourself to calculate your BMI, I'm glad I did as now I know where I need to be and how to get there.  I signed up to get emails biweekly with tips, healthy recipes and more.

So after 10 days you are wondering how it all went.  Well I lost 2 pounds which is what is recommended - I'd love to continue with this weight loss for sure.  I'm so glad I got the chance to review Nutrisystem as it has opened my eyes to portion control and given me the boost to work on my diet.  The frozen foods that I received were all really good and actually it was nice knowing I didn't have to think about my meals- I just went to the freezer and pulled out what I needed.

Nutrisystem have devised meal plans for everyone in mind and the one I like the most is the flex plan - meals for 5 days during the week and the weekends are up to you.  More information regarding the plans are provided here.  Nutrisystem does offer money back guarantee and should you choose the automatic monthly renewal you can cancel at any time - no commitment.

Disclosure: Nutrisystem is providing their food and program to me free of charge in exchange for blogging about my experience as part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program.  These opinions are my own and others experiences with Nutrisystem may vary.
