Look in your Parents Magazine for a $5/$10 Hallmark Coupon

I received my FREE subscription of Parents magazine in the mail today (December 2011 issue).  My children were flicking through while I was cooking and pulled out a Hallmark coupon for me (yay I trained them well).

The coupon was after page 30 in a Hallmark ad section.  Its a peelable and valid through 12/24/11.

I'm going to put the coupon towards a Merry-Oke - I saw it in the store and thought the kids would love it.  This microphone makes anyone sound just like an elf while singing to six holiday favorites: "O Christmas Tree," "Deck the Halls," "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Jingle Bells," "Jolly Old St. Nick," "Up on the Housetop".

If I remember correctly last year Hallmark had these coupons in various magazines so keep your eyes peeled.  Or in my case let your kids thumb through the magazine for coupons : )

By the way you can still get 7 issues of Parents magazine for free here

Review: Aveeno Positiviely Nourishing 24-Hour Body Moisturizer

As an Aveeno Brand Ambassador I was sent another nice little surprise in the mail the other day - a  package containing three Aveeno Positively Nourishing 24-Hour Body Moisturizer products.  Its always exciting when heading to the mailbox but when its products to pamper me then thats an extra bonus.  Now its getting darker earlier, the air is getting cooler and my skin is getting drier.  My hands and feet are the worst so good skin moisturizer is needed.  Aveeno is my go to family brand not just because of its natural ingredients but because of its active naturals that actually work well on my dry and sensitive skin but also for my children's skin.

I love the new packaging design which still keeps the Aveeno characteristic classic minimalistic design but now adds a hint of color with images which gives it a little hipness for us Mom's who need to have some hip in our hectic life.  I love the new scents that I received: Blueberry + Goji Berry, vanilla + chamomille and grapefruit + rosemary which are included not only for its subtle scents but for its antioxidant properties.  My favorite blueberry + goji berry will stay in my bathroom for me, the vanilla + chamomile will head to the powder room and the grapefruit and rosemary will head to the kids bathroom.  The moisturizer has enough thickness to moisturize deep but not too greasy that it takes too long to absorb.

Check out my review on the Aveeno Positively Ageless Product line here

Disclosure: I received these Aveeno products for my honest review as an Aveeno Brand Ambassador.  All opinions are of my own, others may vary.

Rent a book from CampusBookRental and Give Back to Operation Smile

I was fortunate enough to study in England for my undergraduate and graduate degrees where I was offered scholarships and stipends which covered tuition and living expenses.  I actually came out of college with money in my pocket as I worked part time too.  I know for sure that college will not be free for my children and that graduates these days come out with a huge amount of debt.

College books are one part of the total college bill and with ever increasing number of college course options available the book bills continue to increase.  Did you know that you no longer need to buy college books? Campus Book Rentals offers new and gently used textbooks for typically less than half the price you'll pay in your school bookstore.  There are a huge selection of books to choose from and with free shipping both ways and flexible renting periods its a no brainer to do the math and see for yourself.  Any book returned within the first 30 days after the order date will be refunded 100%. Can it get any easier?

Check out this YouTube video below

I checked it out and this Human Biology book sells for $138.44 on Amazon.com - you can rent it from Campus Book Rentals for only $16.66 for 1 semester (130 days) - that's pretty significant!
Search for your text book rentals here.
CampusBookRentals.com has officially teamed up with Operation Smile, an awesome organization, that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it. The long term Improvement in quality of life for the children that receive these surgeries is almost incomprehensible. They have committed to donating enough to cover a minimum of 1,000 life changing surgeries. They hope to beat that number, but it's a significant commitment and with your help this can be achieved.

For EVERY book rented, they will donate a portion of those proceeds to Operation Smile with our sights set on meeting and exceeding our goal of 1,000 lives changed. So add that extra book to your cart, and consider this goal throughout your school year. Its great to know saving on the things you need helps others in need!

Help others while helping yourself!  CONNECT
