alternavites Kids Quick Melting Vitamins Review
My kids are super active at school and good nutrition is important for their growing bodies. While I can control what they eat at home, lunches at school is different. I allow my son to buy lunch one day a week and I'm sure its tasty but not so nutritious. Since they were young toddlers I've been supplementing their diet with vitamins. Thank goodness for the ever growing number of kid friendly vitamin products out there. The gummy vitamins certainly made life easier for me as the kids love taking their morning vitamin. I eat them myself, certainly beats the nasty chalky tasting tablet vitamins that exist for adults.
However, I just learned how much sugar one of these gummy vitamins contain. Some nutritional supplements contained as much sugar as a piece of candy while others contained artificial sweeteners, colors and flavoring. No wonder my children loved their morning gummies - its candy in essence, plus add on the artificial colors and flavorings to the already high sugar content which can make my kids more than hyper.

I was curious to see how this would taste myself especially with no sugar and no artificial sweetner. The packets were super easy to open - no scissors required. I just tore at the perforated area and poured directly on my tongue. It was pretty good! My children loved it and certainly thought of these as pixie sticks candy but there's no telling that there is no sugar in them. These packets are great as you can fit them into any busy schedule.

Move over Rachel Ray, I'm a 29 minute or less cooking mama. After work its a race against the clock to get dinner started, eat, clean up and play with the kids before the bedtime routines kick in. Clean up comes with cooking. Its a chore but its easier for me to do it as I'm faster and more efficient. Clean up is my least favorite part of meal time but oh so necessary. While I have a dishwasher, I tend to wash my dishes the old fashion way (using a little elbow grease). This is especially required for big dishes such as my wok that would otherwise fill up my dishwasher quickly. I love a good stir fry and these dishes fit well within my 29 minute or less meal making but clean up can be cumbersome.
Anytime I can shave off some minutes here or there during clean up is a good thing as that means I can spend a few more minutes with my ever growing beautiful kids. Other tips that help me be more efficient to save time on my daily kitchen routine include:
1. Have a menu for the week so there's no having to run to the store during the week which will eat into my week night time.
2. Keep the kitchen clean - this allows no distraction from the task at hand i.e. cooking
3. I put out the cereal bowls and cereal on the kitchen table the night before so everything is ready to go in the morning.
4. I make lunches the night before to prevent a morning scramble
5. Make large meals so we can have leftovers for lunch the next day and freeze for another meal.
